Hello to all my friends out there!  As many of you know I was born and raised in a great little town - Hatboro, Pennsylvania.  Growing up in Hatboro was such a great experience.  I have such good memories of the long walk to Pennypack Elementary School.  Before I was in Kindergarten my Mom and I would walk my brothers to school - then continue on into town.  We'd have breakfast at the diner and then complete our trip with a visit to Burdick's.  By the time we were done the boys were finished school and we'd all trek back up Moreboro Road towards home.

I graduated from Hatboro Horsham HS in 1987 and attended Montgomery County Community College for two years.  In my first year at MONTCO I realized I needed to focus more on the craft of writing for children.  I applied to the Institute of Children's Literature (Long Branch, Connecticut) and was accepted into their correspondence program.

About Me

Cyndi L Trombley

Author

This was the perfect opportunity for me to continue my studies at MONTCO while working simultaneously to create my very first manuscript.  Nathan's Wish was the first assignment I had with The Institute and it was the first of my books to be published in 2004.

Nathan's Wish launched into publication on April 30, 2004 and was featured on an episode of TLC's A Makeover Story in September of that same year.  It was an amazing experience to be featured on this program and I was humbled to be surrounded by so many family and friends on this wonderful day.  I returned to my roots (Hatboro, Pa) and had a book Launch Party at the Historic Old Mill Inn - where I worked during High School.  Having my book featured on a nationally syndicated television show was a highlight in my writing career. However, my fondest memory and one that I hold dear is my return to Pennypack Elementary School as a featured Writer during their 50 year celebration.  What an amazing walk down memory lane.  I read to the children in the library - signed books in the cafeteria and walked the halls just as I had done as a child.

In May 2005 my second book, "According to Abbey" was published. Embedded within the pages of this poetic story is a hide and seek game that leaves the reader anxious to see what's on the next page.  According to Abbey was written for my daughter who was four at the time and had a very different way of looking at the world.  It is a refreshing look at how she saw the world.

January 6, 2007 brought the publication of my third book "Stitch's Story".  I was honored to be selected as the Author of this story and remain grateful to Last Chance Ranch for the opportunity to share this amazing, true story.  All proceeds from the sale of this book go directly to the Last Chance Ranch so they can continue their efforts in saving and providing care to neglected animals.

I am in the beginning stages of my next project and more details will follow.  In the meantime I am a Hockey Mom and when not working on my latest project am happy to work at my daughters school library. My husband Ted and I live in Douglassville, Pa with our two children (Jacob -11 and Abbey -8) and our two dogs Molson and Kendall.
