Thanks to all the children and families that came out to the Reading Public Museum on
Saturday, November 13, 2004. The event, sponsored by the Berks County Intermediate Unit,
invited families from area school districts to bring their children to the Museum for a
celebration of Reading.
The French Gallery made a wonderful backdrop for Nathan's Wish. There were bean
bag chairs, blankets, flashlights and books - all setting the scene for the Nathan's Wish
reading. The children loved picking through the sticker baskets after they finished the "What
would you wish for" project.
As promised, their beautiful artwork is now proudly displayed on my website. If your name
begins with A-J then your pictures have been posted first. After the Thanksgiving Holiday the rest
will be up. I apologize for the delay in getting this up and running. There are close to 100
completed wishes to be scanned and displayed.
I will never forget the children that I met that day. They were each filled with so much
hope and promise. One little girl wished for World Peace and another for everyone to be nice to
each other. Take some time to page through the pictures from these children.
